Research & Advocacy

AFHR Coordinators conduct research field missions throughout the year, visiting and meeting human rights

Research

Field missions allow AFHR to engage with HRDs directly and to observe the environment in which they are working so as to expand the network and interconnectivity of HRDs; and facilitate enhanced discussions strategies and best practices. Among a range of follow up work to the Protection AFHR prepare briefing papers, Periodic Review, joint statements and reports with other human rights organizations and multimedia reports for the purpose of advocacy and campaigning.

Advocacy

Advocacy and networking for a just and fair legal and policy environment that promote rights, equality and non-discrimination. The goal is to achieve systemic changes towards the realization of the Human rights

 

  • Human Rights Education: The path toward the goal of a world where people treat each other with respect and dignity is through effective education. The components of the Education Packages are produced to the highest quality and durability. It is through donations from those who support our program that enables AFHR to provide these valuable teaching tools and IEC materials free of charge to classroom teachers and qualified community educators. It is thus expected that participating educators agree to provide results of their use of this program and its materials.

Documentation would include photographs and video footage of program application and outcomes, and educator testimonials that promote best practices and results to others. In this way, each educator's successes can be shared and expanded upon
